On July 26th,2019, at 8:00 am, the social practice team of "Torch Dreaming" carried out the morning light sailing plan during social practice in Longquanyi District, Chengdu. Under the leadership of Lianxing Yang, the teacher of the practice group and director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the students began to run in the morning. During the running, the teacher explained to the students the benefits of morning exercise, which not only played the role of physical fitness, but also opened a new day full of energy. The students have expressed that they will always maintain the plan to become a healthy and civilized new youth.
In the afternoon, the team took a bus to visit Volvo Chengdu Factory. Under the guidance of the factory commentary, the team members took the factory sightseeing car to visited the stamping workshop, welding workshop and assembly workshop of Volvo factory in turn, and made a certain understanding of the production and manufacture of vehicles. Then the team visited Volvo car brand experience center to have an in-depth understanding of Volvo brand history and culture.
After visiting the factory and brand experience center, we held a meeting between team members and alumni. The three alumni are Yongjie Liu, Pengjie Liu, and Yuqi Song, who are currently working in Volvo Chengdu.
At the beginning of the exchange meeting, Lianxing Yang, a teacher led by the practice group, expressed the deep concern of the school and the college for the graduates, and sincerely invited them to return to the 90th anniversary school celebration in October this year.
The exchange then officially begins. Three alumni talked from the university experience, career development, life experience and other aspects with team members, and answered some about the machinery industry prospects, employment direction, job content and other students interested in the content. Finally, the practice group also gave them a school celebration gift and the exchange activity ended successfully.
