To enrich the students' after-school life and further promote the development of school sports activities, College of Mechanical Engineering Chongqing University held the 2018 "Welcome Cup" basketball game at 2:30 p.m. on October 25^th in 2018. Eight teams are prepared to attend the sporting event.

The game takes 2 classes as a unit and each team has 5 to 12 members. The competition adopts the promotion system of group competition. Teams are divided into four groups by drawing lots. Four teams in each group adopt the point competition system with winning one game plus one point and losing without points. We take the first and second place in each group (If the three expenditure teams have the same score, the total score of the goal in the game is higher than that of the senior team.) to attend the semi-final and final game (a total of 15 games).

Before the start of the game, the players are doing warm-up exercises on the court, or pressure leg trot, or to find the feel of the ball, one by one eager to try, alive and hearty.

At 2:30 p.m., the first round began and the two players shook hands with each other, demonstrating the competitive spirit of friendship first and competition second. Off the field, there are numerous people, screeching and refueling sounds fluctuate one after the other, and the students watching the match feel surging.

Players in the game strictly followed the rules of the game, respected the judges, obeyd the judges and respected the opponents. The judges judged fairly and the students in the field appearance contest were also orderly. They viewed the contest in a civilized way, demonstrating their mechanical demeanor. Considering the basketball game is a high-intensity and highly confrontational sports event, the Student Union prepared band-aids, cotton swats, iodine, breathable tape, physiological salt solution, Yunnan Baiyao and other items in case of emergency, which added some warmth to the intense competition..

It rained slightly in the middle of the game and some of the venues were slippery and several matches were postponed. However, it couldn’t extinguish the high energy and enthusiasm of the players. After the match, the players were still active on the court, demonstrating the vigorous vitality and competitive enthusiasm of students of Chongqing University in the new era.
